Dear Brother & Sister Clifford,
Along with this letter and picture from President Omer, we have included a few other pictures.
One of Sister Clifford pulling her luggage from the MTC to the Church for orientations. One of her with the other three Sisters going up to Botswana. Her companion could not come down for transfers so we do not have a picture of Sister Clifford with her trainer/companion, we hope that they will send you one from up there.
Sister missionaries are a delight, and she was excited to get to her area and go to work.
Johannesburg Mission Office
Thanks for checking out my blog! I am pleased to announce that for my biggest adventure yet I will be posting at:
I have chosen to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been called to the South Africa, Johannesburg Mission. I will be moving to Africa for the next 18 months. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you there!
What’s your favorite temple? Because you’re mine.
You remind me of the fruit in Lehi’s dream. Precious above all others.
My Liahona pointed to you.
Haven’t we met before… like in the pre-existence?
Can I borrow your phone? I told my mom that I’d call her when I found the girl of my dreams.
I may need a map, because I’m lost in your eyes.
You’re beatiful in Gods eyes, and mine too.
Do you believe in love at first sight, or do I need to walk by again?
Did it hurt? [Did what hurt?:] When you fell from heaven?
For a minute there I thought I had died and gone to heaven, but now I realize that I am very much alive, and that heaven has been brought to me.
I don’t think you’re worthy to take me to the temple. [Why?:] Because you’re smokin’!
Dearest Darling… after much deliberation, and signficant consideration, I have half the inclination to make you my relation. So if you’ll meet me at the station, with the bishop’s cooperation, we will form a combination that will increase the population.
Last night I was looking at the stars, and for every one I saw I thought of something that I love about you… but soon I ran out of stars.
I knew I’d feel the Spirit at EFY, but I didn’t think I’d see an angel!
What’s a Celestial boy/girl doing in a Telestial place like this?
What time is it? Because I want to forever remember the moment I met you.
Are you a Gadianton Robber [No:] Well, you stole my heart.
Can I see your tag? Oh, I thought so… Made In Heaven.
And MY personal favorites:
Is your name Virtue? Because you garnish my thoughts unceasingly 😉
Hey, what’s your name? [Insert Name:] Hmmm, that sounds familiar… I think it was in my Patriarchal Blessing!
The Joys of Valentine’s day never cease to amuse me–these winner pick-up lines included. Enjoy your day and hug your loved ones extra-close today and celebrate the love you have for yourself, your family and friends, and for your life and this world! So even if you don’t have someone to celebrate with–celebrate anyway! We are too blessed not too!!
LIFE. IS. GOOD.
ps- What is your favorite pick-up line of all time?
pps- I have officially declared this song the song of the day. I LOVE the original, but this is a pretty good cover:
Remember this post? Way back in July? Well it happened, and I can’t even believe it came that quickly.
I came down for one last Sister Saturday, which we filled with all of the Clifford Sister’s favorites: Just Dance 2,3, and 4; Keeping Up with the Kardashians; our favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls and The OC (Chrismakka of course); crawled in my bed for a final viewing of our all-time favorite Harry Potter 3; and ended the night by staying up until the wee hours of the mourning viewing One Direction and Justin Bieber’s videos.
On November 11th, the celebrations (for lack of a better word) began for Sisar Clifford’s farewell….
As many of you know, my older sister left on her Mission on Nov. 14th. A few weeks before that my family decided to kick it in Cali for a few days as the last Clifford family Hoorah for the next two years (or longer. Who knows how life’s going to turn out). We played around Disneyland for a day, fulfilled a dream by walking the streets of Stars Hollow (I still can’t believe that happened! We saw a huge Harry Potter exhibit too. Such a dream.), and ate gelato on Santa Monica Pier. I loved it. Such a perfect last vacation with great memories that will last us through the next two years while we’re sprawled across the world.
Hey girl we’re waitin’ on ya, we’re waitin’ on ya, please give us tickets to your show. We’ll have a celebration, a celebration, the music up Ellen’s gettin’ down. Yeah, we’ll be seeing Harry Styles, no pretending that we’re cool, ’cause we really are. Yeah, we’ll see Zayn and Louis, no pretending that we’re cool, ’cause we really are.
We go crazy, crazy, crazy and we love 1D. We even made a movie*, do you wanna see? We’ll never, never, never stop for anyone. So Ellen please help us! To live while we’re young. Woahhh oh oh oh, woahhh oh oh oh to live while we’re young. So Ellen please help us! To live while we’re young.
Hey girl, it’s now or never, it’s now or never, don’t over think just let us come. And if we sit together, yeah sit together, we won’t take pictures on our phones (because we know it’s not allowed). Yeah, we’ll see Liam and Niall, no pretending that we’re cool, PLEASE ELLEN!
We go crazy, crazy, crazy and we love 1D. We even made a movie, do you wanna see? We never, never, never stop for anyone, so Ellen please help us! To live while we’re young. *we spent the months of Jan.-June apart, but to help us have more fun, we made sure to dance to 1D in as many places as we could. We’re glad we did, because on 11/14, I’m leaving for 18 months. And not just my sisters, I’m leaving Ellen and 1D as well. Please help us!
We may or may not be trying to get onto Ellen. Kamille’s a genius.
Although for the summer of 2012 we were far apart, as sisters we were together through our love for three things: awkward tourists, British boy bands, and each other.
Two Time Zones.
This is movie is dedicated to our lovely parents. And Ellen de Generes.
